How it works: a sonar more effective than a halo

Echo Smart Activ® emits specially designed sounds, inaudible to humans, which reflect off obstacles in the environment. Your blind dog perceives these echoes and naturally learns to interpret them, allowing them to anticipate and avoid walls, sidewalks, trees, and other
everyday obstacles.

Neuroscience studies have shown that in blind individuals who practice echolocation, sound echoes activate brain areas typically dedicated to vision, particularly the primary visual cortex. This phenomenon of brain plasticity suggests that echoes are perceived as spatial
representations, providing a form of sound vision.
